GUEST DAY

All right, I'm back to my normal schedule. The kittens are doing good(knock on wood) and I'm being able to write again. But I wont be posting Alice today, for it is the second guest day! So yay, we get daisy and her adorableness. Anyways, once again this is my first time writing basically a whole story in third person so sorry it's a bit rough. I'm actually thinking I'm gonna switch to first person which I'm used to. And if you have any suggestions please tell me. I hope you enjoy it and me and Alice will be back on Wednesday!:)

Daisy was reluctant about tasking her mother about the photos. Her mother had been acting jumpy ever since that one day they had been called by a prank caller. And then she up and decided they were going to move again. But still she followed her friend downstairs and into the kitchen where her mother was putting away the kitchen. Daisy looked very different compared to her mom, her mother, Amelia Greyfunkle, was a pudgier woman with porcelain skin. Not really fat but classic looking with a short sort of hairstyle and wore 50’s style dresses all the time with her apron. Amelia turned around a steaming mug in her hand. Amelia took a sip and noticed them,”oh, hello. Daisy, why is your nice dress all covered in dust?”
Daisy sighed and sat at the table spreading the photos on the small diner like table, “We went up to the attic mum. And that place is jam packed with things. We found these and wanted to ask you about them.”
Amelia walked over to the table tapping gently in her shoes, her smile faded when she saw the photos, ”Oh, that’s a picture of your locket you got from your mum. Well, if your wondering about that, she said he got it from her grandmother. So maybe in that she got it from someone else. It was probably a popular locket back then.”
I could tell mom was brushing me off and persisted, “But what about the people? Do you recognize them?”
She gave off a nervous laugh that was trying to sound carefree but failed miserably,” No daisies, of course not. I haven’t even been up there yet. I don’t recognize them, don’t be silly.”
Daisy sighed and gave up on pestering; she looked over to Ophy who was chatting to her mother casually. She interrupted her mother as the sky began to sink into night, ”Hey mom, when’s pizza gonna get here?”
She looked over to her daughter, “Any minute now. Why don’t you go hang out of the porch?”
Daisy got up from the table and grabbed the pictures again. Then went outside onto the front porch, she sat in the swing bench on it and watched the sun set on the horizon. Daisy fidgeted with the locket on her neck. Her other mother had given it to her when she was very young, the day before she disappeared in that cave. She closed her eyes and thought longer she tended to do that , it helped her mind keep intact when dealing with the mind jumbling effort of moving. She hated moving around, it was always hard on both her and her mom. Yet she always felt if they didn’t, something terrible would happen. Soon her mind drifted off and she fell asleep. The sky grew dark and the air became cold, but the thing that woke her suddenly was the crash of something glass. To her surprise it was dark inside, and as she walked and said to herself, ”Man, I am the worst friend ever. I fell asleep leaving my friend alone.”
A crunch under her foot made her look down then crouch, she picked up white shards of her moms favorite cup. Mom would clean this up, she thought to herself. Her head snapped up as she heard her mom yell, “Daisy! Run!”
Daisy stood up quickly and ran towards the voice completely ignoring the request. She entered the hallway that led to the front door and saw two gruff men dragging her mom kicking towards the door. Without thinking much she grabbed the large baseball bat that was always by the stairway in their homes. She ran at them quickly and swung at their heads yelling, “Let her go jerkwads!”
She must have made contact because one of the men yelled in pain and let go of her mom’s mouth and the arm he was holding. Amelia said struggling against the other guy, “Daisy run away!”
Daisy kicked at the other guy’s knees with surprising accuracy. He let go of her moms other arm and Amelia was free. “Mom, where’s Ophy?”
“Not now daisy! We gotta run!”, she grabbed her daughters arm and ran towards the kitchen.
They were suddenly stopped by a man stepping into the doorway. He glared at them and daisy saw Ophy struggling in his arms. Amelia grabbed hold of daisy like a cat protecting its kitten from a dog. She looked at the fearful eyes of Ophy and gripped her baseball bat tight. Daisy ran past her mom back to the other two guys and yelled at Ophy, ”Flu!”
“Huh?”Ophy said but quickly realized what she meant. She twisted in the guys arm and placed her hand to his stomach and cast a flu spell on him.
He doubled over in pain and fell to the ground. Suddenly daisy saw one of her opponents raise form the ground behind her. Before she could do anything she felt a sharp pain in her head and neck and fell to the ground. As she groaned and began to black out she could see Ophy being shoved into the closet yelling and cursing then see her mom being grabbed hold off and dragged out the door. Blackness surrounded her and she blacked out.

And that’s how our story begins.

You could say I'm excited for this story.
